Preserving living heritage through software: the story of Tunez Stay

Some places lose their meaning when they are forced into the language of generic booking engines.

01

The standard listing was the wrong story.

A restored house, a workshop or a cultural stay cannot be understood through amenities alone. The most important details are often the ones a generic form has no field for: the structure, the craft, the custodian and the reason the place exists.

When the listing becomes too generic, the right guests become harder to find.

02

We started with context instead of categories.

Tunez Stay treats place, memory and intention as part of the product. A stay can connect to a workshop, an event or a person, not just a room and a date.

The interface is there to preserve texture, not flatten it.

03

The lesson was that curation is a product feature.

Good discovery is not always about showing more options. Sometimes it is about giving the right story enough room to be understood.

The platform works when travellers arrive with the right expectations and custodians are seen for what they actually offer.
